Anthony Burger

Anthony Burger (1961-2006) was an influential American gospel pianist and composer known for his virtuosic skills and engaging performances. Primarily associated with the Southern Gospel genre, Burger gained prominence for his energetic piano arrangements and interpretations of traditional gospel hymns, contemporary Christian music, and Southern Gospel songs. He first rose to fame while performing with the Kingsmen Quartet in the 1980s, where his exceptional talent quickly distinguished him as one of the leading gospel pianists. Later, he pursued a successful solo career, releasing numerous albums such as "The Master’s Touch" and "Piano Favorites," which showcased his signature blend of classical techniques and gospel flair. Burger's impact on the gospel music scene was significant; he was known for his ability to connect with audiences through his passionate performances and innovative arrangements. He received multiple awards, including the prestigious "Favorite Piano Player" accolade from the Gospel Music Association.
